The Document Delivery Service (DDS) is an initiative of the Shreenivas Deshpande Library, IIT(BHU), Varanasi, designed to support seamless access to scholarly resources across partner institutes.
DDS enables faculty, scholars, and students to request journal articles, book chapters, conference papers, reports, and other academic documents from participating institutions. The system facilitates fast and secure inter-library sharing, ensuring that researchers have timely access to information resources required for their academic and research work.
The platform allows authenticated users to submit document requests directly to other participating institutes. Each institute can view incoming requests, upload the requested documents (within copyright permissions), and track fulfillment status.
The system maintains transparency, provides request statistics, and ensures smooth two-way communication between the requesting and supplying institutes.
